As time goes by, some love songs fail to withstand the test of time, while others are problematic from the very beginning.
We will now evaluate some of the most troubling love songs that we have no intention of playing at our weddings any time soon.
“Run For Your Life” – The Beatles (1965)

The debacle is about threatening to murder a partner if she dates anyone else. Big red flag.
“Every Breath You Take” – The Police (1983)

“Father Figure” – George Michael (1987)

“My Sharona” – The Knack (1979)

Yet, somehow this tune still gets played on the radio, despite cancel culture taking no prisoners for songs of this nature (and rightly so).
“Nights on Broadway” – The BeeGees (1975)

“He H*t Me (& It Felt Like a Kiss) – The Crystals (1962)

So, basically, this glorified DV anthem lets females know he loves her if she gets hit by her fella. Wow. Just wow.
“Blurred Lines” – Robin Thicke (2013)

Given that the song isn’t that old, you’d think writers Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams would know better than to pen a song such as this, but apparently not.
“Invisible” – Clay Aiken (2003)

Maybe this song is where Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams got inspiration from.
“In The Air Tonight” – Phil Collins (1981)

“Baby, It’s Cold Outside” – Dean Martin (1949)

“Summer Nights” – John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John (1978)

This stinker of a song suggests that consent was not an issue.

The whole song is icky, but the above lyrics are perhaps the ickiest of an icky bunch.
